About the sun

Later, Albert Einstein and Arthur Eddington both described how intense pressures at the Sun’s core could generate nuclear fusion, which gives off a tremendous amount of heat and energy.
Its visible surface

The photosphere is the coolest part of the Sun’s atmosphere, with temperatures of about 6,000degC.
